About AS42184

AS42184 is the network of TKRZ Stadtwerke GmbH since 2007. TKRZ now operates as an internet service and colocation provider, having originated from the computer retailing business. The core of the business consists of four data centers located in the west of Germany, as well as a dedicated backbone network used to provide internet services to residential and business customers throughout the country.

AS42184 has over 20 Core-, PoP-, and Edge-locations distributed throughout Germany, with a focus on the western regions. All sites have redundant connections with bandwidths of n10G or n100G. AS42184 uses a modern designed MPLS/VPLS network structure, providing a vast range of services from regular internet connections to Point-to-Point connections with QinQ, as well as transit for other ISPs & MSPs. Almost all network based services are available at each location.

AS42184 and its development are driven by the NOC engineers who work behind the network. We are a team of people who are passionate about computer technology and network infrastructure (especially with our motto “IPv6 first!”). On a daily basis, we work towards enhancing the network with modern designs that can provide an improved experience for our clients. We cherish opportunities to connect with other networks and engineers, and share our network expedition with all those who are curious about this subject.

Four modern TKRZ data centers provide colocation services and are network locations for AS42184. TKRZ combines network and data centers to facilitate various connections for colocation customers. The data centers are located in the following cities:
